Mian Shakeel Aslam-- Typhoon Talas swept over western Japan, killing at least three and leaving a trail of mudslides after heavy rains, authorities said Sunday.
At least eight people are missing and dozens more are injured, according to authorities.
The deaths include two killed in mudslides in Nara prefecture. An 89-year-old woman was also found dead next to her home that was washed away by a river in Mie prefecture, authorities said.
Talas struck Japan on Saturday.
